with Hal Rammel

Saturday, September 16, 2017 • 10am-2pm

10am-11am
Introduction/Lecture

11am-2pm
Workshop: photo taking, processing and review

This workshop was open to both those with experience in pinhole photography and those with no prior experience at all. Participants were guided through the process of building their own camera from a simple cookie tin. If you already had a pinhole camera you were welcome to bring it to the workshop and share your knowledge and experience with other enthusiasts.

Participants used their cameras to explore the immediate vicinity of Studio 224 in downtown Port Washington and the Studio 224 darkroom was available for developing and printing black & white paper negatives.

Materials for the construction of pinhole cameras were provided along with assistance in the darkroom to develop and print photographs. Prior experience in photography or in darkroom printing was not required. Children 8 and up were welcome to participate, but had to be accompanied by an adult if under the age of 12.

Photography Instructor: Hal Rammel
Cost of the workshop per person: $25
